Moving From the Age of Pisces to the Age of Aquarius

Some consider the clash of cultures between Islam and the West to be the number one issue in the world today. Others point instead to the destabilization of the Middle East; others point to decreasing world oil supplies;  others point to the proliferation of nuclear or other weapons; others point to economic issues like the Great Recession, banking practices, or multinational corporations; others point to spying and the loss of civil rights; others point to climate issues like Global Warming; and still others point to environmental issues like Fukushima.

These are some of the many cracks in our world today.  Which crack is the most dangerous?  The true danger is that there are so many cracks at the same time.  They collectively constitute too much weakness in the foundation of our civilization.  And what is the foundation of our culture today? many might disagree, but I would say that it is faith.

All our major problems today today certainly boil down to faith.  We don’t trust the Muslims, we don't trust the Iranians, we don’t trust the bankers, we don’t trust the CIA, we don't trust the president, we don’t trust the scientists, and we certainly don’t trust the corporations.  We don’t trust the world’s oil to last and we definitely don’t trust Japan to protect us from Fukushima’s radiation.

The Age of Pisces began right around when Jesus Christ was said to walk the earth, and ever since He was here, humanity has wrestled mercilessly with itself over the question of faith, which is appropriate, because the sign of  Pisces is supposed to be all about faith.  Today, of course, the Age of Pisces is almost over, and before humanity is free to move on to the next Age, the Age of Aquarius, I wonder if we will be tested to see how well we learned Pisces’ lesson.
